Prescriptive Incentives

The Prescriptive program makes it easy for our business customers to install high-efficiency electric equipment across a wide range of technologies and receive quick one-for-one incentives. Prescriptive incentives cover equipment for heating and cooling, refrigeration, HVAC controls, lighting and lighting controls, food service equipment, and more. Projects must be pre-approved prior to purchasing equipment however for a limited time, if your equipment was purchased and the project was completed on or after July 1, 2021, and you did not obtain pre-approval, then you may apply for incentives no later than 180 days of project completion. (Completion is defined as all equipment being installed and operable). Note: 180-day look back projects are NOT eligible for the JCP&L Commercial Energy Efficiency Financing.

Projects must be pre-approved prior to purchasing equipment. However, if your equipment was purchased and the project was completed on or after July 1, 2021, and you did not obtain pre-approval, then you may apply for incentives no later than 180 days of project completion. (Completion is defined as all equipment being installed and operable).

To qualify for incentives, equipment must have been purchased and installed after July 1, 2021, and after the receipt of a formal pre-approval letter from the Program Administrator.

Step 1: Review the measure list to see if your project qualifies for incentives.

Step 2a): FOR LIGHTING PROJECTS ONLY – Download, save and complete the most recent version of the lighting workbook PRIOR to starting an online application.

NOTE: An application CANNOT be submitted unless the workbook is attached. For more information on the lighting workbook refer to the Lighting Workbook Guide.

Step 2b): Apply by submitting an online application. View the training video to assist with application submittal.

NOTE: The customer and technical facility contact listed on the application MUST be an employee of the company listed on the utility bill.

Step 3: Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Projects may be selected for a pre-inspection.

Step 4: The Program Ally will receive a confirmation email from noreply@capturesportal.com that the application was received. The customer contact listed on the application will receive an email from noreply@capturesportal.com. This email will contain the Adobe Signature document and the Program Terms and Conditions. A program team member will contact the Program Ally and customer if additional details are needed.

Step 5: Incentive offer is sent to the customer.

Pre-approved project approvals are valid for 30 days
180-day lookback is valid for 15 days after the offer
15 days for completed/harvested projects (180-day lookback)

Step 6: Final documents received.

Within 90 calendar days of the incentive offer acceptance for pre-approval projects
15 days for completed/harvested projects (180-day lookback)
